How to add suppression script

The suppression script can be added to your website on any pages that you do NOT want GetEmails to collect email addresses. Generally speaking, you would put this script on landing pages where the person has already converted, and therefore, you have already collected their email address.

Examples of pages you’d want to add the suppression script to are post-checkout, thank you, and confirmation pages.

To find your suppression script, go to your GetEmails Dashboard. Click Code Snippet in the left navigation and then View Script. Check the box next to Suppression, and click Copy Code.

There are two ways to add the suppression script:

1. The first option is to go to Pages from the dashboard and choose the landing page you want to add it to.

2. Click Javascripts at the bottom of the page, and then click Add New Javascript.

3. Paste your GetEmails suppression script in the box, and give it a name at the top. Choose Head from the Placement drop-down list. When you’re finished, click Done.

Here’s how to add the suppression script to your form’s confirmation page:

1. From your Unbounce dashboard, click Settings > Script Manager. Then, click Add a Script.

2. Choose Custom Script from the drop-down list, and name your script. Then, click Add Script Details.

3. Choose Head for the Placement and Form Confirmation Page for Included on. Paste the suppression script in the box. Then, choose the domain you want to add the script to on the right-hand side. (If it’s not already added, you will need to do that first.) When you’re finished, click Save and Publish Script.
